Organizing Your Holiday Gift List

How To Organize Your Holiday Gift List-IG.png

Tis the season of gift giving! Becoming an organized gift giver will make your holiday shine. A hand-picked and thoughtful gift can mean just as much to you as it does your recipient. Don’t feel daunted by the gift giving process; there are great and easy ways to stay organized during the holiday rush!

One of the best ways to stay organized during the holiday season is digitally! Your phone can be a huge help- some of the most common apps are perfect for holiday projects. The ‘Notes’ app on your phone is great for digitally saving gift ideas as you discover them throughout the year. Add the name of who you’re gifting to and what you’re giving them. Having a list of what you purchased for someone can help if you forget if you bought them a gift as well as make sure you don’t gift the same thing twice or how much you spent on that person.

The ‘Reminders’ app is also great as you get closer to the date for scheduling purchases and shipping reminders. You can also share your ‘Reminders’ with other people so your spouse and family can help you pick up some of the items on time.

When it comes to organizing your gift closet, we suggest sorting all of your pre-purchased gifts by category; maybe it’s by person or holiday/event. That decision is up to you and what makes most sense to you.

If your wrapping materials are looking disheveled, we love suggesting this gift cart, this over the door gift packaging organizer as well as this gift wrap organizer.

On the other end, make a list of gifts received as soon as possible (we suggest on your ‘Notes’ app or Microsoft Word). This will make your thank-you note process much smoother in remembering who gave you what and hopefully encourage you to send them out sooner. Having a list of what you received can also be helpful in case you want to re-gift anything.

There are so many things to plan and organize during the holiday season. Make your gift giving process a breeze. We promise it’ll leave you on the “nice” list!
