Our Favorite Projects of 2020

Happy New Year! Holy moly, this was quite a year of up’s and down’s for all of us. We’re incredibly grateful for how many clients put their trust in us and stuck by us through it all. We were able to grow our team to add a few more talented women  to our already fabulous team of organizers. We reopened the studio for the holiday season and were able to see your faces and hear you reminisce about all of the fun times we’ve had together at our neighborhood events, our workshops and in your homes and offices over the years and how happy you were to see us still standing. It meant so much to all of us; it brought us to tears on multiple occasions and it also put so many smiles on our faces.

Enjoy a look back at our 2020 through a few of our biggest projects this year and we can’t wait to see you all soon!

Lizzie's Bakery

We started off the year on a sugar high designing a new space for Lizzie’s Bakery to bake cakes with more elbow room, counterspace and some seriously functional storage. My favorite little detail in this space is the sprinkle shelves. She has a ton of baking supplies for her rapidly growing home-based business and needed to make use of it as best she could. She’s in a rental so having something that works in the temporary space and that she could take with her to reuse in another space was really important to her. We made those dreams a reality and then some!

Central Square Florist

We’ve been working with Central Square Florist to organize and redesign every inch of their storefront that’s been in their family for four generations. We came to the tail end of their project this spring when the brand new checkout counter that we designed and built was installed. The space was overdue to be reimagined and needed a hearty facelift and we delivered. We were able to give them a fresh new look, enhanced their branding and installed tons of shelving throughout both levels of the store to optimize their processes.

Melanie Casey Jewelry

We were tasked with this gem of a project with Melanie Casey Jewelry and couldn’t have been happier! If you couldn’t tell yet, we’re obsessed with working with small businesses and can’t get enough of them. Their teeny tiny shipping department was operating on fumes and needed to be completely redesigned. We inventoried every. single. thing. from each ribbon used on every jewelry box to each size and style of shipping box, interviewed each employee that works in the department to make sure we were going to give them everything that their little hearts desired and then some. It’s one of the most exciting things to me to see a vision so clearly and know how happy our clients will be with the solution that they could have never imagined in their wildest dreams. We needed to not only create a space that could function well day-to-day but that could also handle the busiest of times (holiday time!). We needed to be able to accommodate up to 6 people working in the space at a time (ya know, when life goes back to normal), efficiently processing orders and making sure that each package being sent out is a jewel in itself.

Oh baby!

We welcomed so many babies into the world this year! We’re honored that so many of you trust us to help you navigate motherhood in an organized fashion. We love setting up a nursery to be fab and functional. This project in the South End was no exception and now we’re lucky enough to be designing all of their closets for their new house in the burbs as they make room for their growing family.

Move Management

The Spring and Summer was full of move management projects for us that really kept us going and gave us a lot of hope for the rest of the year. We never met these clients in person, we spent hours with each other through Facetime and Zoom and will hopefully meet one day but nonetheless we were able to sort, purge, inventory and pack their homes and have things placed in storage units and shipped to different states with the help of Gentle Giant

More Elfa

This fall we installed elfa in one of our clients garage’s and I’m in love. 😍 Garages are one of the most challenging spaces to organize well with all of the large items that need to be stored and accessed, including fitting cars and those terribly awkward bikes that take up way too much room. Then you have ALL of the sports equipment, holiday decorations and home repair tools. But I love them anyways, even with all of their quirks and difficulties, probably because it’s such a challenge and once we’ve created an awesome system and see our vision come to life there isn’t much more satisfying to me.

Well, those were some of our biggest projects in 2021! We were thrilled to work with all of our clients this year and can’t wait to meet more of you this year. Did you notice a bit of a theme? We LOVE elfa and use it to solve so many of our clients storage problems. If you’re in need of a home or office re-vamp and think elfa might be in your future, schedule a complimentary phone consultation here so we can tell you all about it. Their annual 30% off sale is happening right now and we’d love to help you get organized this year!
