What’s With All That Junk Inside Your Trunk?

JUNK IN THE TRUNK.jpg

What’s with all that junk inside your trunk?
Sometimes our cars get neglected when we’re cleaning up and getting organized. Maybe it’s because they’re parked on the street or in the garage, “out of sight, out of mind”. Or perhaps they’re being avoided intentionally because it seems too overwhelming to tackle. With Summer around the corner, it’s time to get our cars cleaned out and organized so we can put them to good use!

Wouldn’t it be nice to pack it up and hit the road for a long weekend trip? Or take it to the beach for a day in the sun? Having it clean and organized can help you relax since you’ll know that all of the supplies are neatly organized and easily accessible.

1. Completely empty the car, we mean COMPLETELY. Have bags/bins ready to help you haul your things back to their rightful homes in the kitchen, playroom, garage, etc. Also have your trash and recycling cans by your side while you purge the car.

2.  Clean your car or have it detailed. While you’re cleaning it out, you’ll be able to note any repairs that need to be done before you take a road trip.

3. Be intentional about what you put back in your car, gather all of the supplies you need and possibly pick up a few organizing products to help keep the clutter at bay this summer.

If you have kids that you’ll be hauling around, it’s important to have the appropriate supplies on hand at all times. If you don’t have children, there are still plenty of items on this list that are important to have.

  • umbrella

  • reusable shopping bags

  • trash can/bag

  • coin holder

  • sunglasses

  • sunscreen
